On the road to more prosperity in the European Union – how can we boost our competitiveness and the integration of our internal market?

 

Europe is at a crossroads. Driven by renewed ambitions – such as the Letta & Draghi reports, the Clean Industrial Deal, and the simplification agenda of the von der Leyen Commission – our continent still has to face a harsh reality: a slowdown in the development of new technologies (such as artificial intelligence), the fragmentation of the internal market, and a regulatory framework that too often slows down innovation and SMEs.

 

Between industrial ambitions, competitive pressure from China and the United States, and the complexity of our own rules, how can we reconcile growth and social cohesion and reconnect with the goal of improving prosperity for our citizens?
